Child Care

The Mount Vernon Baptist Childcare Center is a child-enrichment ministry of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

We sincerely believe that children are a precious gift from God

 

-Mission Statement-

Our purpose is to provide a Christian environment through a variety of learning and playing experiences that contribute to the spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child. We strive to provide a safe and loving atmosphere so that parents/guardians can feel secure leaving their child(ren) in our care.

 

-Objective-

  • To educate the hearts and minds of children to love God, others, and their self. 

  • To develop a positive self-concept, understanding self as a unique and compete person.

  • To develop opportunities to be with other children and help him/her learn how to have wholesome social relationships. 

  • To provide opportunities for meaningful play that will be based on each child’s individual need, interests, and abilities, and that will build important foundations for future reading skill and academic success.

  • Ages: 6 Weeks- PreK Program

  • Before and Aftercare available for k-5th grade

  • We provide Lunch 5 days a week and morning and afternoon snack

  • We follow DHR minimum standards

  • Our pre-K program uses the A Beka curriculum 

  • Our PTO helps organize activities and fundraisers

  • We offer 3-5 days of care- Child must have set days

  • Extracurricular activities include: Outside or gym play, Chapel, computers and library for 3s and 4s

  • Ace Gymnastics is also available for $35/month

  • Summer Program for ages 6 weeks to 5th grade

 

Security is very important to our center. We have an installed security door lock with a camera that allows us to see who is at the door without going to the door. 

 

I.D. is required on anyone we do not recognize.
